Malaysia's fuel oil, gasoil, naphtha output falls on year in July

Malaysia's production of fuel oil, gasoil and naphtha fell year on year in July, while output of gasoline, kerosene, LPG and LNG rose, data from the Department of Statistics showed Friday.
Fuel oil led the fall, with output decreasing by nearly 18% from the year-ago month to 213,644 mt in July, followed by naphtha which declined 2.7%, while gasoil production inched down 0.1%.
Malaysia's gasoline, kerosene and LPG output in July meanwhile, rose by between 1.6% and 14.3%. LNG production increased by 9.1% year on year to 2.21 million mt in July.
In the first seven months, output of gasoline, LPG and LNG increased, with the rest of the products declined from the same period last year.
Malaysia has five refineries with a combined crude distillation unit processing capacity of 563,000 b/d. State-owned Petronas also has a 74,300 b/d condensate splitter at its Kertih refinery, while Kemaman Bitumen Co. owns a 25,000 b/d bitumen refinery that uses heavy crude as feedstock.
