The 13th CAEXPO Light Industry Exhibition was held in South China City of Nanning on September 11, 2016, drawing the most representative products of China, ASEAN countries and other countries along the Belt and Road routes.
Bringing together exhibitors of different countries, a wide range of exhibits and distinguished cultural elements, plus with diversified sideline events, this exhibition will promote light industrial cooperation among China, ASEAN and those countries along the Belt and Road, helping them seize more business opportunities. It is anticipated that more than 1 million trade visitors and individual buyers will be attracted.
400 booths were set up at the exhibition, covering an area of 10,000m2. Chinese exhibitors mainly came from those provinces and municipalities with advanced light industry, such as Zhejiang, Guangdong and Shanghai, etc. Apart from China, 7 countries along the Belt and Road routes including Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Pakistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia, as well as US, Australia, ROK and Japan have also organized quality companies for the exhibition.
As one of the most popular specialized exhibitions of the CAEXPO, this light industry exhibition boasts a great variety of exhibits, including consumer goods, home decoration, consumer electronics, toys, premiums and gifts, household appliances, sports and healthcare products, arts and crafts and hardware tools, etc.
It is the first time that an ASEAN Pavilion has been launched. Resource told that the pavilion was located in the center of an exhibition hall to enrich the Home Decoration Zone, the ASEAN Commodity Zone and the Commodity Zone of Countries along the Belt & Road Routes.
Exhibitor groups from China’s Taiwan continued to participate as usual, who brought with them unique products like scientific products and consumer goods for exhibition.
Sideline forums and business promotion events were hosted to help enterprises obtain the market intelligence, promote interaction between suppliers and buyers and allow the exhibition to produce more tangible economic outcomes.
Professional business matching activities were arranged for businesses to seize more opportunities. Face-to-face talks were held between Chinese and international exhibitors and buyers based on pre-matching results. The China-ASEAN Commodity Trading Center Cross-border Trade Platform was launched. The platform invented a O2O model that directly links physical stores, on-line shops, logistics companies and supporting service providers, helping enterprises achieve leaping-forward development in their relevant fields.
Meanwhile, to make it more accessible and attractive to ordinary people, the exhibition hosted a series of cultural exchange programs. Considering Vietnam is the Country of Honor of the 13th CAEXPO, Vietnamese art shows, promotion on tourism projects, food, education resources, culture, traditions and displays of distinctive made-in-Vietnam products were arranged by the exhibition. For other ASEAN countries, the China-ASEAN Folk Culture Festival was held to showcase their dances and local culture.
Considerate services were provided to make participation in the exhibition more convenient. 14 shuttle buses are open between the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition, the Guangxi Exhibition Hall and South China City of Nanning are open, and brochures and maps will be distributed for the passengers to allow them have more convenient experience during visits.
