The China-ASEAN Expo Brunei Exhibition 2017 opens in Bandar Seri Begawan on 4th May, an event which will brings the peoples of Brunei and China closer, showcase quality made-in-China products and promote the bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
Opening ceremony of the Brunei Exhibition is held at BRIDEX on the morning of 4th May, attracting H.E. Mr. Chen Wu, governor of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, H.E. Madam Yang Jian, ambassador of China to Brunei, Honorable Pehin Dato (Dr) Mohammad Yasmin Umar, minister of energy and industry at the Prime Minister’s Office of Brunei Darussalam, Dato Paduka Dr Haji Mohd Amin, deputy minister of finance of Brunei Darussalam and officials from relevant departments and businesses of both countries. Governor Chen Wu of Guangxi delivered opening remarks at the ceremony hosted by Mr. Wang Lei, secretary-general of the CAEXPO Secretariat.
The Brunei Exhibition boasts special significance, for it is the first time for the CAEXPO Secretariat and relevant government departments of Brunei to have co-hosted such a trade fair in the country.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Governor Chen Wu said, this year marks the 50th anniversary of ASEAN and the 26th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brunei. The Brunei Exhibition will create a new platform for Brunei to get more involved in the CAEXPO and to expand and enrich its economic and trade cooperation with Guangxi. The exhibition meets the shared aspiration of China and Brunei to further deepen the bilateral friendly relations and will allow Brunei to play a more important role in the China-ASEAN cooperation.
Distinctive and cutting-edged products are brought under one roof for display.
As said by Governor Chen Wu, a number of Brunei and Chinese enterprises, including large and leading ones and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, all show great enthusiasm for the exhibition. And a series of promotion conferences and business matching events will be held on sideline to help exhibitors and trade visitors conclude more trade deals. He hopes that enterprises of both countries would seize more business opportunities, deepen mutually-beneficial cooperation and achieve common development through the exhibition.
Holding the Brunei Exhibition, the CAEXPO will consolidate the platform for promoting unimpeded trade between Brunei and China.
The CAEXPO has provided an important platform for the in-depth development of the Brunei-China trade over the past 13 years. As Brunei is the Country of Honor for the 14th CAEXPO 2017, the Brunei Exhibition will help elevate the bilateral economic and trade cooperation to a new height and will also constitute a highlight and unveil the events to mark Brunei as the Country of Honor.
Leading and brand companies of both countries join the exhibition as exhibitors include Guangxi Investment (Group) Co., Ltd., Muara Port Co., Ltd., Guangxi Wuzhou Tianmei E-commerce Co., Ltd., Guangxi Beiliu Zhongli Ceramics Industry Co., Ltd., Fuzhou New Pearl Import and Export Co., Ltd., Ningbo Haiding Import and Export Co., Ltd., Ningbo Xinde Import and Export Co., Ltd., etc.
The leaders and officials of both countries had pavilion tour after the opening ceremony.
