His Royal Highness Prince Haji AL-MuhtadeeBillah, the Crown Prince of Brunei Darussalam visited the CAEXPO Brunei Exhibition 2017.
His Royal Highness Prince Haji AL-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince of Brunei Darussalam visited the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) Brunei Exhibition 2017 on the morning of May 6th, when he highly acclaimed the exhibition on its role in promoting the Brunei-China economic and trade cooperation and hoped exhibitors could enhance their brand recognition and score rich tangible benefits through such a platform.
The crown prince, accompanied by Madam Huang Yuan, vice secretariat-general of the CAEXPO Secretariat, met and talked with Chinese exhibitors at their booths and showed great interest in the exhibits. He repeatedly said made-in-China products are popular in Brunei and he hoped that Chinese enterprises would strengthen exchanges and cooperation with their Brunei counterparts and pursue common development.
Visiting the CAEXPO Secretariat pavilion, the crown prince gave high credits on success of the CAEXPO over the past 13 years, saying that the event has played an important role in bolstering economic and trade cooperation between Brunei and China. He felt very excited about the photo on his attendance at the 4th CAEXPO in 2007 and said, “His Majesty, Princess Hajah Masna and I went to Nanning for the CAEXPO for three straight sessions. The trip in 2007 was very impressive. Brunei is the Country of Honor this year, and we will organize approximate 150 enterprises to the 14th CAEXPO as exhibitors, which will represent a big increase from the previous years.”
At the pavilion of the Muara Port Company Sdn. Bhd, the crown prince watched the promotional video and talked with their managerial personnel on implementation progress of the project which was concluded at the CAEXPO. He hoped to see more cooperation projects of such alike would be concluded in the near future, to accelerate the building of the Brunei-Guangxi Economic Corridor.
At the pavilion of Guangxi Wuzhou Tianmei E-commerce Co., Ltd., the crown prince showed interest in cross-border e-commerce between China and ASEAN, believing that e-commerce would lend new impetus to the bilateral economic cooperation between Brunei and China.
Products of Fuzhou Xiaoshenlong Watch Technology Research Co., Ltd. also captured His Royal Highness’s interest. The crown prince chatted with the exhibitor on materials and technique of the watches and exportations to Brunei and other ASEAN countries. The crown prince also toured the pavilions and booths of Guangxi International Investment (Group) Co., Ltd., Guangxi Ruian Logistics (Group) Co., Ltd., Guangxi Hiseaton Foods Co., Ltd., and Guangxi Sanhuan Enterprise Group Holding Co., Ltd, etc.
Sources told that it was the first time for the CAEXPO tour exhibition to have been held in Brunei. The CAEXPO has been successfully held for 13 sessions and provides a good platform for China and Brunei to expand and deepen the bilateral economic and trade cooperation. As Brunei will be the CAEXPO Country of Honor for the second time, the CAEXPO Brunei Exhibition 2017 represents a new step taken by both countries to elevate the bilateral cooperation, and will kick off the series activities to highlight Brunei as the country of honor.
