The China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) Secretariat and the Employers of Poland concluded the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Friendly Cooperation with the CAEXPO Supporting Chamber of Commerce of Special Partner Country in Nanning, China on July 27, 2019.

Mr.Wang Lei, Secretary-General of the CAEXPO Secretariat, and Mr. Andrzej Malinowski, visiting President of the Employers of Poland, attended the signing ceremony and inked the MOU as the authorized representatives of both parties.

The Employers of Poland has become the first-ever CAEXPO Supporting Chamber of Commerce of the Special Partner Country and the first of such kind from Europe. “New European Power” has been injected to the CAEXPO Supporting Chambers of Commerce, making this mechanism expand to the region outside the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA).

Since its inception 15 years ago, with strong support of major chambers of commerce and associations from home and abroad, the CAEXPO has scored remarkable economic and trade outcomes. With the accession of the Employers of Poland, the total number of the CAEXPO Supporting Chambers of Commerce has been increased to 46 from 45. As the only European Supporting Chamber of Commerce of the CAEXPO, the Employers of Poland is of special significance.

At the meeting before the signing ceremony, both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation and better leverage the CAEXPO as an effective economic and trade platform, to provide more friendly services for the businesses of the two countries in trade and investment cooperation.

Mr. Wang Lei said the CAEXPO will build superb platforms and create business opportunities for Polish enterprises to better participate in Belt and Road Initiatives and to more effectively explore the Chinese and ASEAN markets.

Mr. Andrzej Malinowski hoped that his visit could seek for more business opportunities for Polish and Chinese companies, as efforts to put forward the economic and trade exchanges and cooperation of the two countries. The Employers of Poland will promote the CAEXPO to more Polish companies and investors.

Founded in 1989, the Employers of Poland is the oldest, largest and the most representative national organization of the country. It will send a delegation to join the 16th CAEXPO and the China-Poland Entrepreneurs’ Roundtable Meeting and other investment and trade promotion events held on sidelines in coming September.

The CAEXPO will see stronger cooperation between Chinese and Polish businesses and create new opportunities for China and Central and Eastern Europe to jointly build the Belt and Road.
