30 World Fortune 500 Enterprises Gather in Guangxi

More than 30 world Fortune 500 enterprises including HSBC, Amazon, Siemens, Shell, Toyota and Hewlett-Packard will gather in Nanning, Guangxi to participate in the “2013 Guangxi Investment Cooperation Round-Table Conference of World Fortune 500 Enterprises” to be held during the Expo. This is learned from the Investment Promotion Department of the “Two Conferences” Command Center recently.
It is reported that the organizer of this activity plans to invite more than 30 world Fortune 500 enterprises, including HSBC, Amazon, Siemens, Shell (China), Toyota and Hewlett-Packard (China), Wal-Mart, Bayer and others in the fields of electronic information, petrochemical industry, automobile making industry, modern logistics, commerce, medicine, food processing, finance, new energy, etc. to Guangxi for investment investigation. By that time, local enterprises in Guangxi will have a chance to talk with world Fortune 500 enterprises face to face in this great occasion. Besides, the representatives from China’s Ministry of Commerce, Guangxi key industrial parks, and government departments will also attend this activity.
A large number of major projects will also be secured during this event. For example, Hong Kong China Resources New Energy Group Co., Ltd. plans to invest USD 238 million in Rongxian County, Guangxi for “Rongxian China Resources Wind Power Project”. This is the first wind power project of China Resources Group in Guangxi. The project will be commenced in September and start grid-connected power generation in July of the next year with a total installed capacity of 150,000KW and the first-stage installed capacity of 48,000KW. This will add significant weight to the new energy development in Guangxi.
This activity is sponsored by the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and aims at strengthening the exchange and cooperation between Guangxi and world Fortune 500 enterprises, helping the transnational corporations to gain an in-depth understanding of the economic and social development conditions and industrial planning of Guangxi, encouraging world Fortune 500 enterprises to come to Guangxi for investment, and realizing new breakthroughs of key regions and major industries by utilizing foreign investment.
