Dazzling Pearls on the Maritime Silk Road

The "Cities of Charm" of the 11th CAEXPO, centering on the theme of 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road, highlight key cities and representatives with great potential along the Maritime Silk Road.
The "Cities of Charm" for 11th CAEXPO are: Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of China, Bandar Seri Begawan of Brunei, Preah Sihanouk Province of Cambodia, South Sumatera Province of Indonesia, Borkea of Laos, Langkawi of Malaysia, Yangon of Myanmar, Davao of the Philippines, Singapore, Nakhon Si Thammarat of Thailand and Binh Thuan Province of Vietnam.
On each CAEXPO, "Cities of Charm" are a beautiful scenery, and this year is no exception. As the theme of the 11th CAEXPO is "21st-Century Maritime Silk Road" and 2014 is China-ASEAN Cultural Exchange Year, in exhibition display and image design, the "Cities of Charm" section have focused on the cities' features and great opportunities in port cooperation on Maritime Silk Road, as well as achievements made in trade, investment, science & technology, culture and tourism. Singapore, which is the Country of Honour of the 11th CAEXPO, as well as the important hub on Maritime Silk Road, highlights its distinct advantages as an international shipping center, international finance center and international trade center in the exhibition.
Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, which is known as the "Jiangnan of the Frontier", locates on the Silk Road which stretches for several thousand kilometers. Ningxia is one of the origins of the Chinese culture, which used to serve as an important passageway for trade between the east and the west. In the 11th CAEXPO, with an exhibiting area of 270 square meters, and through promotion seminar and city exchange activities, Ningxia is exhibiting its long history as the important passage on the Silk Road, achievements in economy and trade, tourism, and Muslin Culture.
