According that Singapore National Tourism Administration On 23rd released data showed that Singapore received foreign tourists which increased by 5.4 per cent than previous year, a total of 10.3 million passengers, created a high record.
Data showed that the Asian market was still Singapore's largest tourist last year, of which more than half of the tourists from other Asian countries, Indonesia was Singapore's largest tourist country.
The data also showed that foreign tourists totally spent about 13.8 billion Singapore dollars in Singapore last year (about 9.58 billion US dollars), compared with the previous year which grew 11.3 percent. Tourists stayed in Singapore for 38 million days, compared with the previous year which increased 13.4%.
For the further development of the country's tourism industry, Singapore National Tourism Bureau has formulated a development plan, hope to attract 17 million foreign tourists before 2015, the annual tourism revenues to 30 billion Singapore dollars (about 20.83 billion dollars), and create 100,000 job opportunities for the tourism industry.
