The co-organisers of China Asean Expo in Brunei Darussalam has confirmed that more exhibitors and trade visitors/buyers would be travelling to the 5th CAEXPO this year held from October 22 till October 25 at the city of Nanning, Guangxi in China.
According to the CAEXPO Secretariat, Brunei Darussalam together with Laos, the Philippines and Singapore, have verified that they will bring more exhibitors and trade visitors/buyers to the 5' CAEXPO this year signalling a growing demand of the booths for Asean countries.
In the statement by CAEXPO Secretariat, it revealed that officials from the Ministry of Industry & Primary Resources of Brunei Darussalam would organise the major enterprises engaging in the ICT sector, agricultural sector, halal foods, beverages and tourism to the 5th CAEXPO, using about 12 booths. Brunei enterprises will stand to gain more business opportunities via the effective platform of the CAEXPO.
A total of 3,300 international standard booths have been set up at the 5th CAEXPO, among which 2,800 are indoor booths and 500 are outdoor booths. Up to date, five countries, namely, Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam have signed agreements on chartering exhibition halls to set up their respective Pavilion of Commodity Trade.
This year, Vietnam will use most of the booths for the Pavilion of Commodity Trade among the 10 Asean countries, as it did at the previous CAEXPOs. It will use the whole of Exhibition Hall 6 (192 booths), the largest one among the halls used by the Asean countries.
Cambodia is the Country of Honour at the 5th CAEXPO. It will be the first time that Cambodia will set up its exclusive Pavilion of Commodity Trade, using Exhibition Hall 15 (122 booths). Thailand has chartered halls for setting up its Pavilion of Commodity Trade for two years in a row. This year, it will use Exhibition Hall 5 (169 booths). Malaysia and Myanmar will respectively use Exhibition Hall 14 (169 booths) and Exhibition Hall 16 (116 booths) for the same purpose. Indonesia has also intended to charter an exhibition hall.
Currently, Chinese business associations have signed contracts for 535 booths, and 62 individual enterprises have applied for 135 booths, making the total number of booths reserved by Chinese enterprises up to 720.
This year, the 5th CAEXPO will focus on showcasing three categories of Chinese products that enjoy larger bilateral trading volume and cater to the Asean market namely machinery equipment, electronics & IT products and building materials.
